Project
& Printing Planning Tips |
|
|
 |
- To facilitate communication,
many clients plan to submit
a WORK
ORDER prior
to job arrival. This
may include: quantity,
ink colors, paper, fonts/type,
photo/image summary, special
requests (bleeds, folds,
finishing requests, etc.),
due date, and detailed
delivery
instructions. Pioneer Graphics
can provide a WORK ORDER
form if needed. (See
Estimate Request page
for a sample form)
- Clearly label ALL disks/CD's/DVD's
with:
- contact name
- phone numbers
- return instructions
- Label and number all
photos with cropping indicated.
- Use our paper buying
power to reduce costs by
selecting one of the following
“house” stocks.
(Click
here to see all of our house
stocks)
- Coated (gloss or matte):
80# and 100# text, 80# cover
and 12 point C1S (coated
one side) 80# and 100# white
(uncoated) text - Uncoated:
50#, 60# and 70# white offset,
and 80# white smooth cover
- Four color printing
utilitzes
"process colors"
- cyan, magenta, yellow
and black - to produce
color
(CMYK)
- Many
clients choose a
Pantone color as a fifth
color on the press, especially
for heavy coverage, to
guarantee
consistent, true color.
- Heavy cover weight papers
will be scored prior to
folding to get
a clean, sharp crease
to the paper.
- A press sheet
must allow space for grippers,
color bars, trim marks,
etc.
- Specify any special
finishing work needed
as special
inks are often required.
- Three- and four-color
envelopes or those requiring
a color to bleed must be
converted from flat pre-printed
press sheets. This extra
process costs more and
requires additional
time.
- Notify Pioneer Graphics
48 hours ahead of your
anticipated
project arrival. This allows
us to reserve your press
time in advance in order
to achieve on-time delivery.
Please include a hard copy
proof or low resolution
pdf proof with your files.
